Mae Douglas
You may recognise Mae if you’re from the Stockbridge area as she was the owner of The Write Stuff stationery shop in Stockbridge from 2015 until she sold it six years later.
Mae graduated as a speech and language therapist in 1990 and specialised in working with deaf children, initially in NHS and then at Donaldson's College. This new part time role has allowed Mae to return to her clinical routes, working with patients with sensory impairment. She loves being part of a family business here at the practice and is enjoying being back in Stockbridge, as she feels very much part of the community here. She has already enjoyed getting to grips with prescreening, and meeting the patients, many of whom are familiar faces from her time at The Write Stuff. She’s enjoying adding to her experience of the senses.
When she has time to herself, she enjoys getting away in her campervan, as well as curling, yoga, reading and crafting.
