Remembering Heather

Since we shared the sad news of Heather Grandon’s passing, we’ve been deeply moved by the kind and thoughtful messages we’ve received. Your words have meant so much to us, and we will be compiling them to share with Heather’s family in due course.

For those who didn’t have the privilege of knowing Heather personally, we’re certain you can sense the profound impact she had on our practice, our team, and the many patients she cared for with such dedication and compassion.

In keeping with Heather’s wishes, her funeral will be a private, family-only gathering, and she kindly requested no flowers.

If you would like to share your memories or condolences, we invite you to sign our online book of remembrance here. We will gather your messages, stories, and photographs to pass on to Heather’s family. If you’ve already sent something, rest assured it will be included. There is also an opportunity on this page to make a donation in Heather’s memory to the Keratoconus Group, a cause close to her heart given her lifelong work in helping those with this condition.

Additionally, there will be physical remembrance cards available at the practice for the coming months. Please feel free to ask about contributing during your next visit.

We know that Heather touched many lives, and some of you may wish to remember her in person. As a mark of respect, we will be closing the practice on Thursday, 20 February. However, we will be open from 3pm to 5pm that day for anyone who would like to join us in sharing memories, reflections, or simply spending time together. I, along with several members of our team, will be there to remember Heather alongside you.

We are also continuing to explore meaningful ways to honour Heather’s remarkable career and enduring legacy.T

hank you to everyone who has taken a moment to reflect, remember, and celebrate Heather in your own way.

Warmest wishes,

Ian Cameron
