Our clinical lead optometrist, Gillian Bruce, is regularly called upon to share her expertise in Myopia Management, reducing the progression of short-sightedness in children, in the UK and further afield. She recently joined other highly regarded eye care practitioners, sharing hands-on experiences of what Myopia Management means to them. The discussion explored their passion for the work, and what myopia management can achieve for patients. You can read the full article here and watch excerpts from the discussions.
During the meeting the new MiSight daily disposable contact lenses were discussed, which are now the preferred option for our patients. Many optometrists and opticians still don’t inform their patients of the option of Myopia Management contact lenses which is a concern and something we are keen to change, in a bid to increase awareness of the huge benefits of these specialised contact lenses.
If you are interested in Myopia Management for your child, you can call the practice on 0131 225 2235 for further information.
