Last night we held our summer frame preview event in our independent eyewear boutique. Thank you to all who attended. We loved seeing so many guests experimenting with different styles and looking utterly fabulous.
It was our wooden frames from FEB31st that stole the show. Guests had great fun creating their own totally unique frames. Selecting their frame shape was the starting point and from there they could choose the colour for every layer of their frames. Burnt orange on the inside with navy over the top seemed to be a popular choice. An inscription of their name on the arm of the frame creating a welcome finishing touch. The craftsmanship that goes into creating those frames still amazes us.
For those embracing every ray of sunshine in Edinburgh or further afield, sunglasses were the order of the day. Californian brand SALT and French flair from designers Anne et Valentin went down a storm. We had one of Edinburgh’s top stylists, Judith Campbell from Rosy Penguin, on hand to assist with choices and she was finding these Anne & Valentin frames hard to resist.
It is coming up for a year since we opened our frame room, now Edinburgh’s top independent eyewear boutique. We have welcomed some outstanding artisan brands. All designers committed to producing the finest unique, handcrafted designs that set themselves apart from mainstream brands. And we have been thrilled by how well they have been received by our patients.
